The Willow Farm redesign focused on bringing existing content into a responsive framework with more contemporary web design standards. This project started with a site restructure in order to make content more accessible to users. Light branding included consolidating fonts, as well as updating the brand to a brighter color scheme.
Considerations for the home page included simplifying the layout and highlighting the company mission. We incorporated upcoming events in a dynamic format such that new content automatically populates on the page. It was crucial that users have the opportunity to easily contribute, thus we added a bold footer with a prominent link to donate.
The previous calendar page consisted of a text document embedded in a flash page. When redesigning this page, we converted to a calendar layout and focused on the ease of updates on the back-end, as well as the improved readability for the user. Users can toggle between calendar and list views.
